Mission
and Vision
"PARIHARA" is a venture under the auspices
of Neethi Vedhi to to address an urgent need in the
Wayanad district of Kerala. Neethivedhi is working among
the marginalized, tribal women and children for the
past three years. These groups of people are facing
many challenges such as mental health problems of anxiety
fear depression etc. Parihara offers an opportunity
to unburden themselves and get guidance to move on in
life. The many changes that are taking place in our
society has effected the harmony of relationships in
nature and the valued systems that existed are torn
apart creating havoc in the different strata's of the
communities. Often children are the worst sufferers
of the consequences of change.
It is noted by
the Sociological and Psychological research studies
that Kerala ranks first in the rate of family suicides
mental illness domestic violence. In the very recent
past the suicide of farmers in this district has also
drawn attention of the government and others working
for the wellness of the people. In the unique context
of Wayanad "Parihara" is committed to be there
for those socially and economically depressed sections,
Who have emotional
problems
Who are disturbed
mentally
Who are depressed
Who experience
problems in relationships
When the marriages
are not going well
When children
are abused
When the problems
of old age becomes unbearable
When farmers are
depressed and are having suicidal ideation.
We promise to
talk with those who are willing to share and search
together to find a solution to the problems and make
a difference in the lives of the persions and the community
and society.
