Religious leaders' meeting

On 18th November, leaders belonging to different religions gathered together at Thavinjal panchayat office to know and share with each other. After the introductory address of Mr James Thomas, Ms Laila Usman welcomed the participants. Peace committee chairman Mr Saju Antony presided over the meeting which was inaugurated by Ms Elsy Joy, the Panchayat president. Mr. Ibrahim P M, panchayat vice president, felicitated the audience. The participants highlighted the importance of preserving the existing collaboration and concern for members of other religions. The meeting resolved to fight against those who make attempts to foster misunderstanding and antipathy. It was suggested to collaborate with the committee of Valliyoorkavu temple in organizing the feast in the coming year.
